Symbol Datawands let you scan and store bar-coded information for later batch transmission to a host computer or programmable handheld terminal using Symbol's Datawell II interface module. After data is collected, the scanners are easily loaded into the Datawell charger/communications module for data transmission via an RS-232C interface.

Datawand III includes all the features of Datawand IIB plus a 1-by-16 character liquid crystal display (LCD) that lets you review and edit before sending data to the host system.
